Four defendants charged with drug, weapons crimes

On Behalf of | Jan 29, 2017 | Drug Charges

Florida residents who are arrested for suspected involvement in a specific criminal act sometimes have to be careful that other events do not become involved in the process. In some situations, an arrest for one offense may be just the beginning as other charges may surface and further complicate matters.

Such is the case for some men today in Stuart. According to reports, two young men were said to have been identified as being involved in a robbery. No details about the robbery were given nor is it known how the two men were identified as allegedly having been involved. Nonetheless, officers with the Stuart Police Department were able to obtain a search warrant and used that to examime the men’s residence.

Upon searching the residence, officers located pot, heroin and some guns. The two men originally charged in the robbery along with two others have subsequently been charged with multiple drug-related crimes. Possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana with the intent to sell, heroin trafficking and even the possession of pot with a gun are some of the charges the defendants now face. All four remain in jail in lieu of bail. It is not know when they will appear in court.

Floridians in these types of situations may reasonably feel scared. However, talking with an attorney at these times might help to reduce fears by providing valuable information about appropriate defense options.
